When you don’t have a lot of outdoor space, it’s even more important that you make the most of what you do have! It might require a little more thought than a larger space, but it can still be transformed into a relaxing and stylish outdoor retreat.
Paul Gibbons Landscapes Ltd recently completed a garden make over in Macclesfield.
As you can see from one of the photographs, the garden had become overgrown, full of weeds and gravel and the original decking was looking past its best. Paul and the team constructed new raised beds along the two sides of the garden, one of which was tiered for added interest. They were rendered and topped with treated timber.
Two small paved areas, one immediately outside the back door, and one in the top corner of the garden were installed and a garden bench was included to provide seating. Marshall’s Symphony porcelain tiles were used. One of the key features of this garden is that it is low maintenance as we installed artificial grass so no need to mow the lawn!
This is a great example of a small contemporary garden, maximising the space, creating clean lines and smooth surface finishes.
