Create a harmonious transition from indoor to outdoor space with the use of porcelain paving. Porcelain paving has a smooth flat surface finish, requires minimal maintenance and is suitable for use as internal or external porcelain paving tile.
They say that first impressions count, so when someone sees the entrance way to your home, does it have a positive or negative impact? Does it invite a visitor to want to walk up the driveway and knock at your front door or to quickly walk away?
We spend so much time wanting to get the interior of our house right and the garden looking good, but in the process we overlook the front of the house and the entrance way, when actually it is a space that should be made unique and inviting.
Paul and the team at Paul Gibbons Landscapes recently transformed the entrance way to a house. In this space we installed granite cobbles which come on a netted backing which produces a uniformed pattern. These fan shaped cobbles create an impressive mosaic pattern which is beautiful to look at. The variation in the granite gives depth and definition to the overall appearance and using the darker cobble highlights the pattern even more!
From a practical perspective, a great feature with granite is it is very hardwearing, so it won’t experience damage from the elements and will last ten times longer on average than block paving.
Our clients opted to have silver/grey cobbles which are very versatile and work well when combined with other materials and colours. In the instance, we paired the granite cobbles with Indian stone setts around the edging which nicely framed the paving. You can see the stunning results from the photographs included.
